I highly recommend monitoring used telescope groups on Facebook. Sometime you run across great deals.
I was not looking for another telescope. I was happy with my 8″ Celestron telescope. After all, I bought the Starzona Hyper-Star.
One Saturday morning, I saw a Celestron 9.25 telescope coimplete with a StarSense Autoguider for $1900. And from my same mailing town. I contacted the seller, offered $1500 sight unseen. About 2 hours later he drove to my house and delivered everything to me. It came with a dew ring heater, a travel case and was culminated to perfection
I put it on my AVX mount it was fantastic. Soon I found a used CGEM II mount and it has been on that ever since.
The picture quality actually seems better than the 8″ scope. Saturn and Jupiter – WOW! Then I started using it to view smaller distant galaxies. The first one being the Cigar galaxy. HOME RUN!
