If you have been giving thought of a Celestron StarSense Autoguider you have come to good place to see it in action. I have had mine for about 4 months and love it. In this video I take you though setup to an imaging session. You will see how easy it is to set up and how accurate it is.
Setup starts with leveling and pointing the mount. I have never polar aligned using my AVX mount. Using a phone app named PS Align Pro, I simply level, and point north. Without the telescope, I point the mount 0 degrees north and level the mount. PS Align Pro cost about $3. The bubble level and compass combo is all I use. My next step is to mount the scope on the AVX. Followed by pointing the telescope north using the app.
